The First Audi A3 Saloon Offered in Britain Will Go On Sale Later in 2013

The Audi A3 Saloon will be offered in Britain for the first time after the launch of the three-door A3 hatch and five-door Sportback. An A3 cabriolet engine will join the range early in 2014, with its motor show debut expected at Frankfurt in September. The Audi A3 engine for saloon will directly take on the recently launched Mercedes CLA. Most of the Audi A3 engine range is familiar as they are available already: 1.4 L 121bhp and 1.8 L 177bhp. The Audi A3 diesel engine options include 1.6 litre turbodiesel giving 104bhp and 2.0TDI engine delivering 148bhp. There are two more Audi A3 engine variants on the way: a 1.4 L TFSI delivering 138bhp with cylinder deactivation which shuts down two cylinders while driving around to save fuel.
