New 296bhp Audi S3 Cabriolet goes on sale for £38,910, first UK deliveries in September

The ultra fast and super luxurious Audi S3 has gone on sale in UK with first deliveries in September. The new car was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March and features a 296bhp 2.0 litre petrol turbo engine with four wheel drive mated to a S tronic transmission. It is super fast as it only takes 5.4 seconds to go from 0-62mph. The economy takes a hit due to this high speed as it drops down to 38.8mpg compared to the equivalent S3 saloon’s 40.9mpg, while CO2 emissions are up 6g/km to 165g/km. Audi's roof drops in just 18 seconds at a speed of 31mph. The Audi S3 stands out for being fitted with 19-inch alloys and bi-xenon headlights, a lower suspension, platinum grey finish for the grilled and beefed-up bumpers. The interior also includes a multi-function steering wheel with stainless steel pedals. The dials are bespoke. The S3 stands out by having S logos imprinted onto the heated front seats. The seats are finished in ‘Fine Nappa’ leather and contrasting silver stitching. As some customers look for added exclusivity there is a choice of pearl-effect ‘Sepang’ blue and crystal-effect ‘Panther’ black and a ‘Parade’ red design package. A new 2.0 litre TDI engine churning out 182bhp will also join the convertible A3 range. It arrives over here in October costing from £29,735, capable of over 65mpg in manual, front-wheel drive form.
