It was the year 2007 when Audi originally introduced the Q7 SUV and it set new standards in versatility, sportiness and sophisticated technology in the SUV segment. This segment was long neglected. Combining the best features of premium on-road capabilities and off-road competency, the Q7 is a “third generation” performance SUV, offering a bold and strong look.


Engines offered?


The 2015 Audi Q7 is being offered in 3.0L, TDI and S Line models, and the trim levels are: Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. There is also a 3.0L V6 TFSI, supercharged, fuel-injected petrol engine available that produces 280 bhp and 295 lbs-ft of torque. The S Line supercharged V6 petrol engine produces 333 bhp and 325 lbs-ft of torque.  The other option is the powerful yet efficient 3.0L V6 turbocharged direct injection TDI diesel engine that produces 240 bhp and 406 lbs-ft of torque.


The combined fuel economy of the 3.0T Supercharged V6 petrol engine is 16 city/22 motorway; and the 3.0L turbocharged clean diesel offers 19 city/28 motorway. Both of these vehicles transfer torque through the wheels using an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox.


Are there any safety features?


Yes! It does offer safety features like a range of airbags for instance, which include the dual front airbags, dual head curtain side-impact airbags and front seat mounted side-impact airbags, making sure you stay safe.


The four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock, electronic brake force distribution, hydraulic brake assist, anti-slip regulation, electronic locking center differential, electronic stabilization program, hill decent control, Tyre pressure monitoring system, and the Bluetooth hands-free phone system make it a ride worth opting for.


Then there is Xenon high intensity discharge headlamps, front/ rear fog lamps, Audi parking system with rear acoustic warning, Home Link garage door opener, remote key less entry, tool kit, rain sensing intermittent windshield wipers, alarm system and engine immobiliser.


What’s the price?


The 2015 Audi Q7 SUV will start from £31,438 for the 3.0T, £34,757 for the TDI and £40,290 for the S Line.
